Are you looking to make your flight simulator flights more realistic and add
realism to your virtual airline? SimDispatch can add that for you. SimDispatch uses
real world major airline schedules that are updated monthly from real world records.
Just as in real world operations, a pilot must bid on their desired flightline for the
next flight period. The administrator for each virtual airline using the system can
build flightline templates using the vast database of schedules and then build bid
packages for the virtual airline using those templates.
Tired of trying to keep your virtual airline schedules up to date? SimDispatch members
can use the SimDispatch API to utilize the real world schedule database maintained for
the bidding system. Downloads are also available of pre-formated SQL and CSV files to
add flight schedules into your own database.
How It Works.
The virtual airline administrator builds a bid package
using real world flights in the SimDispatch database
stored from Flight Aware, then configures a bid window period and a flight
window period.
Pilots login during the bid period and bid on flightlines available
to their rank. At the end of the bid period flightline bids are awarded
according to seniority. Bids not awarded are placed as reserve flights
that can be bid on by pilots that missed the bidding process or have
completed a flightline prior to the next bidding period.
When the flight window opens, pilots login to
get their Flight Release's in the order of
the flightline, only receiving the next release after
a PIREP has been filed for the previous flight.
